Happy to Be Retired :)

With wet eyes, relaxed mind, and joyous heart, today my father bids adieu to his office, his colleagues, and his work as a contented man who has earned immense respect and love throughout his life. Everyone must have had so many good things to say about him and I am sure all of them are going to miss him a lot. Papa how I wish I could be there with all of you at this beautiful moment of your life.

I have always known my father as a principled man, who believes in hard work, honesty and patience. Thanks a lot for teaching us the real morals and values of life. And those teaching and lessons are paying off now. Whenever we failed and broke you always patted our shoulders and stood beside us and helped us gain back our lost confidence.  You taught us to accept the failiures and fight with them fearlesly. You are an  ideal teacher, an ideal father and an ideal friend. Papa, I am proud to be your daughter and blessed to have you as my father. Now is the time papa to enjoy your life to the fullest as the life begins at retirement.

I am dedicating this song to you which completely suits your ways of dealing with life. :)

Lots of love, Rakhi

Maein Zindagi Ka Saath Nibhata Chala Gaya
Har Fikar Ko Dhuen Mein Udata Chala Gaya

Barbadiyon Ka Shok Manana Fizul Tha
Barbadiyon Ka Jashan Manata Chala Gaya
Har Fikar Ko Dhuen Mein Uda…

Jo Mil Gaya Usi Ko Muqaddar Samajh Liya
Jo Kho Gaya Maein Usko Bhulata Chala Gaya
Har Fikar Ko Dhuen Mein Uda…

Gham Aur Khushi Mein Farq Na Mehsoos Ho Jahan
Maein Dil Ko Us Muqaam Pe Laata Chala Gaya
Har Fikar Ko Dhuen Mein Uda…

  1. Rakhi,
lovely post and apt song - loved it !!

Wishing Uncle a ton of happiness and great days to enjoy as you aptly mentioned life starts after retirement and so he can enjoy his days the way he always wanted to and relax completely.

This song was apt too as this was the reason people of that age were always happy with what everything they had and lived a peaceful life..While now, the surrounding is like - think more about what we don't have rather than enjoying with what we have..
WE should really make their principles ours and lead a successful life as they always had..
This is to your father and so is applicable to all fathers of that age.
    Loved your post !!
Keep coming with more music as essence of our life !!
